Diversity Women's Initiatives Spotlight Image

Recognizing the need for more female participation in the high-technology industry, Cisco has programs and resources to help women develop their skills as individual contributors, managers, and executives. Cisco actively leads and participates in activities within and outside the company.

Internally Cisco supports Employee Resource Groups dedicated to development of women, Women’s Action Networks (WANs). There are currently 34 WANs in 17 countries.

Cisco partners with several external organizations that provide networking, workshops, and professional development for women at Cisco. An added benefit is the opportunity of meeting peers from other companies and learning about life outside of Cisco.

Some of these organizations include:

WCAN: Women of Color Action Network
FWE&E: Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives
PBWC: Professional Business Women of California
