The Cisco Pulse Survey is an annual process targeting all Cisco employees. Consisting of 54 questions, the Pulse Survey focuses on topics that impact employee satisfaction, allowing for baseline comparisons between groups and years. Approximately 20 questions are drawn from an IT Survey Group consortium database, providing external benchmarking. All managers with at least five responses in their organizations receive results reports. In addition, the Diversity & Inclusion Council reviews results and follows up as needed. In 2008, 73% of employees responded to the Pulse Survey. Favorable responses increased over 2007 and 2006 in all categories.
The Pulse Survey has emphasized employee satisfaction through 2008. Starting in 2009, the survey will focus on employee engagement. |
