Cisco Asian Affinity Network (CAAN)
Tuan Nguyen is currently Vice President, Engineering Technology for Cisco's Campus Switching and Service Technology Group in San Jose, California. In this role he is responsible for overall system architecture and hardware development of the Catalyst 6000 platform. The Catalyst 6000 account for about $4 billions of Cisco revenue.
Prior to current position, Tuan managed one of the largest ASIC development team in Cisco. His team was responsible for developing ASICs to support both the Catalyst 6000 and the Nexus 7000 platforms.
Prior to Cisco, Tuan joined Kalpana, a leading provider of Ethernet switches, in 1993 as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer. Kalpana was later acquired by Cisco in 1994.
Tuan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly).
