Guillermo Diaz, Jr. oversees a global team responsible for accelerating new services and software business models for Cisco, our customers, and partners.
In addition, the Cisco Services and Software delivery IT team delivers business value by aligning business and technology architecture through reusable technology services and components.
Since joining the company in 2000, Guillermo has helped develop Cisco's world-class IT infrastructure by leading initiatives to build and manage significant business applications such as Enterprise Management Systems, Database Foundation, Cisco.com, and Cisco Employee Connection (Cisco's Intranet). In addition, Guillermo has led key business processes such as Quote to Cash, Issue to Resolution, Forecast to Delivery and Professional and Technical services.
Guillermo is an Executive Sponsor of Conexión – Cisco's Hispanic and Latino Employee Network. He has also held senior IT leadership positions within some of Silicon Valley's most respected companies including Director of Global Network Services (Silicon Graphics), Managing Director of IT (Intelligent Electronics), and Manager of Telecommunications (Alza Corporation).
He began his career in Telecommunications with the United States Navy where a military scholarship led to his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Regis University, Colorado) and post-graduate studies at the University of Denver.
Guillermo's family, including his wife and four children, are based out of the San Francisco Bay Area — the perfect location to indulge his other passion, golf.
