Cisco Disabilities Awareness Network (CDAN)
Duncan Mitchell is responsible for leading and managing Cisco''s Emerging East region, comprised of Russia and the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf. He leads the localization and implementation of Cisco''s vision, strategy, and field operations throughout the region, with a focus on customer and partner satisfaction, profitable growth, and operational excellence. Though based in Dubai, Duncan stays exceptionally close to customers, partners and teams with regular visits across the Emerging East region.
In Mitchell's prior post as Vice President and Managing Director of Cisco UK & Ireland, the region grew at a compound annual growth rate of more than 10 percent, yielding distinction throughout Cisco Europe for its exceptional productivity performance. Mitchell joined Cisco in 1996 as founding Vice President of Network Service Provider Operations for the UK and Nordic regions. Prior to Cisco, he held positions for organizations such as StrataCom, Cabletron, and Case Communications.
Mitchell's sustained professional commitment was acknowledged by Queen Elizabeth II when she conferred upon him the honour of the rank of CBE, for his contribution to Business in the United Kingdom. He is also the executive sponsor of Cisco''s worldwide Disability Awareness Network.
