What is it like to work here?
It’s great! First, get ready for new challenges every day. Second, get ready to collaborate across all types of organizations and leadership levels. Third, get ready to work hard because everyone at Cisco knows how to and works hard.
What is a typical "day in the life" like? What do you spend your time doing?
A typical day at Cisco consists of three things. First, I complete my functional tasks-the things that keep the lights on. Second, I work on strategic initiatives-how Cisco can run smoother and be better. And finally, I work on career development. Cisco requires me to make myself better, which enhances my career and Cisco as a whole. It’s fantastic!
How do you work together with your team?
Cisco works virtually! Cisco spans across the world and I have business partners in India, Singapore, Japan, North America, England, and Amsterdam. I even have virtual meetings with coworkers from the other side of the building! This decreases costs and increases collaboration and teamwork. Cisco is the Human Network after all!
Why did you choose to work at Cisco?
Cisco pushes for results and I do too, it’s a great fit. Cisco supports substantial career development, and I benefit from that. Finally, Cisco advocates work-life balance. After all, I did this video blog from my home with my little baby girl, Elle, in the background! Work hard, play hard!
