What is it like to work here?
First of all, I like the opportunity given to me to do work in a big company like Cisco. The working environment is great. There is a very good atmosphere in my team and in my group. Secondly, at work I learn new things every day and get to develop myself professionally, which, in my opinion, is the most important criteria in selecting a job. In addition, the company understands that it is very important to study and finish your degree, so my job is flexible, and I always get enough time to study for exams and to do all my assignments at the university. When I need to change my working days or work less because of my assignments at the university, my managers always agree. I get time off when I have exams, so that is another important reason why I like to work here: I have a very flexible job.
What is a typical "day in the life" like? What do you spend your time doing?
Usually I come to work and start working on my present project. That's the part that stays the same. But every time, I have a different project to work on and different issues to deal with, and that reason keeps me on a very high level of interest in my working day.
How do you work together with your team?
Most of the time, each one of the team has his own project to work on, so each one is independent in his projects and topics. But there is very good cooperation when we need to work together or share knowledge between each other.
Why did you choose to work at Cisco?
I was very impressed with the company from the recruiting day that they had at my university. I know Cisco is a very successful company with a good reputation, so I thought that I would apply.
