What is the live in the CSAP program like?
The life in the program is overwhelming, but overwhelming in a good way. A lot of new data to process to information and a lot of learning from that information. Social skills, technical skills everything is getting a boost. Some trainings are given via online study, some are old school classes. But the parties with your new friends are always real live and kicking.
What is it like to work here?
Every day different in a way, I can work from home, on the road, at the office, at customers, wherever I want. Just finish the work that needs to be done and set your own schedule. Very flexible, very Silicon Valley like, where Cisco is from.
Why did you choose to work at Cisco?
At the time I was living in Silicon Valley near the Cisco Campus, and I was looking for a new job. The campus impressed me, so many buildings, but also the technology that Cisco works with, just great. However I was afraid I did not have enough experience to join. Then I found out about the CSAP program, a full year of paid training and a normal salary every month, giving me the experience I needed. That was not a though decision I had to make. Also after the program I am still offered trainings to keep up with my skills.
What is your favorite thing about working here?
The people and the flexibility. Because of the program I know people around the world. It enables me to be very internationally orientated, something I like. The flexibility given to me by Cisco is also giving me the opportunity to fully live as I would like. Combining both and you got a great job/life. It is truly changing the way you live, work, play and learn.
