Business Overview

The NetVersity Account Manager role is the start of a career path to a fully qualified Cisco Account Manager position. This is one of the lead client-facing roles within the Cisco Sales teams, working with the Systems Engineering community to bring Cisco technology to our clients. As an Account Manager at Cisco, you are assigned customers/clients and are responsible for the relationship between Cisco and this Client. You are given a sales goal to attain during the year.

Location : Riyadh, Saudi Arabia(training) then return to home country

  • MEA - Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE

Program Start Date : August 2008
Eligibility requirements : Candidates must be able to live and work in the country they are applying to without sponsorship or visas from Cisco (except for the training in Riyadh, when visas will be supplied as needed).
Language requirements : Candidates must be able to speak both English and the local language (Arabic in most cases) of the country they are applying to.

Summary of the Role

NetVersity Account Managers primarily drive the client relationships, and bring the specialist technical knowledge of the engineering community to our customers. Account Managers at Cisco have a pivotal role in qualifying customer requirements, and developing &maintaining long-term partnerships with our valued customers. As an Account Manager at Cisco, you are assigned customers/clients, and are responsible for the relationship between Cisco and this Client. You are given a sales goal to attain during the year.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sales planning and business reporting to senior management
  • Act as a lead for new business accounts and opportunities
  • Manage relationships with existing clients, holding responsibility for customer satisfaction, bookings, and revenue objectives
  • Business planning - write and agree business plans and follow through to execution and milestone tracking
  • Maintain a sound technical knowledge of Cisco products and solutions
  • Work closely with Systems Engineers on solution development
  • Working closely with our partners to deliver customer value

Education and knowledge required

  • Bachelor or Masters degree - equivalent to top 40% in your class. Work experience is an advantage.
  • Cisco encourages diversity of experience, culture &education. Cisco will consider any degree discipline for NetVersity Account Manager applications.

Program Training

The 8 months' training program is held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On completion, you will return to your home country, or country of application. The first 6 months' is instructor-led, followed by 2 months on-the-job training.
