Welcome to the Cisco Takeback and Recycle Program. This program is the method Cisco uses to comply with the European Union (EU) Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive in the United Kingdom. Cisco Systems International B.V. has registered in the UK as the producer for Cisco labelled electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).

The UK authorities have given Cisco Systems the WEEE registration number WEE/CF0092.

This means that Cisco assumes the producer responsibility set forth in the EU Directive to fund the collection, treatment, and environmentally sound management of Cisco labelled waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Cisco also assumes responsibility for reporting “put on the market” data and all other reporting requirements relating to the collection, reuse, recycling, and recovery as required to comply with UK's transposition of the EU Directive.

As a result, Cisco manages its own collection scheme. All Cisco partners and Cisco end-user customers should use the Cisco Takeback and Recycle Program to send end-of-useful-life products to Cisco for proper collection, treatment, and environmentally sound management in compliance with the EU WEEE Directive.
