Business-technology writer John Edwards is based in Gilbert, Arizona, and has written for a variety of clients, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, and MSNBC. He is also the author of several books, including Telecosmos and The Geeks of War. "Integrated Wired and Wireless: The Best of Both Worlds" is his first piece for iQ.



Amy Etra began shooting portraits for magazines, including Forbes, Newsweek, and Time, while living in Los Angeles during the 1980s and 1990s. She now lives in Connecticut, where she focuses on editorial work, corporate photography, and photojournalistic wedding photography. The results of her first assignment for iQ appear in "Using Resellers to Move Above and Beyond"



Photographer Dan Coogan is married and lives in Phoenix, where he primarily focuses on location shoots for a variety of business publications, including BusinessWeek and Forbes, as well as corporate work for annual reports and advertising projects. He photographed "IP Phone Applications Provide a Recipe for Success."



Journalist Tam Harbert joins iQ this issue as an associate editor. After 20 years of working for a variety of publications, including Electronic Business and Computerworld, Harbert recently launched her own business as a freelance editor, writer, and editorial consultant. She covers technology, business, and public policy from her home near Washington, D.C., between gigs as a roadie for her son's jazz band.



Illustrator Scott Baldwin has been creating illustrations with the aid of a computer since 1986, but also has five tons of antique printing machinery and lead type in his garage in Killingworth, Connecticut. "New and old technologies can coexist peacefully," he says. "Each has its own strengths." He illustrated the "Addressing Infrastructure Needs."
