Mr. Gordon J. Bruce

Mr. Gordon J. Bruce M.B.A.

CIO for the City and County of Honolulu

Gordon Bruce (M.B.A.) is well known in the “tech” industry. Gordon is the Director of the Department of Information Technology and CIO for the City and County of Honolulu, the 13th largest City in the United States. He has led the City in expanding E-Government initiatives including by not limited to Public Safety Oversight for all City first responder agencies including Police, Fire, EMS and State and Military agencies island wide, and the delivery of online services to the citizens of Honolulu. His agency projects presently include upgrades to: telecommunications systems including tactical interoperable communications, 800 MHz Radio, tower and facility reconstruction, convergence projects including VOIP, E911, wireless for public safety and municipal use, credentialing, video monitoring, online systems, infrastructure upgrades, mainframe upgrades, services oriented architecture and ERP to name a few. He is also the Managing Member – GJB and Associates LLC, an international consulting firm providing strategic planning, business process engineering, systems integration, research, teleport consulting/management, and security consulting in government, healthcare, education, trust, commercial real estate and non-profit corporations.

He has a Masters Degree (graduating with honors) in International Business from Hawaii Pacific University. He has over 30 years of experience in the tech industry. He is the former CIO of the Queen’s Medical Center, one of the top 200 non-profit hospitals in the United States. He is contributing Author, Information Technology Parks of the Asia Pacific: Lessons in the Regional Digital Divide, has been featured in many technology publications and has lectured about numerous technology related subjects including: “The Global Impacts of Technology on Business and Society”, “Fast Tracking Technology Deployment in Government” and “The Greening of IT” to many organizations and institutions around the globe. He is a recipient of the Paul C.T. Loo award from Hawaii Pacific University and was recently recognized as one of the top 25 “Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers” in the United States by Government Technology Magazine, a list that included 2 U.S. governors, and public safety officials.

Alisa dePedro, a Channel Manager with Berbee, has been with the company for over 4 years. She has a background in Educational Sales, focusing on networking and Unified Communications. Alisa has also had a strong focus on Advanced Technologies, and has experience working with customers to plan strategies to achieve long term goals and increase ROI.

Brad Jungemann, a Channel Manager with Berbee, has been with the company for over 5 years. He has an extensive background in Microsoft and Cisco technologies. With a very strong technical background Brad has the ability to provide insight into the technologies and experience with deployment scenarios.

Global Industry Solution Manager for State and Local Government

Brian Grundei has been the Global Industry Solution Manager for State and Local Government at Cisco since 2004. His main responsibility revolve around the strategy and marketing of Cisco technologies and solutions for state, provincial and local governments. He works with customers, press, sales and channel partners to share Cisco’s position, strategy and direction in the State and Local Government markets. Brian has been in the networking and computer industries for 15 years with companies like Zenith Data Systems, US Robotics, 3 Com and joined Cisco in early 1998. Brian has held numerous sales, marketing and operations positions developing go to market strategy, marketing and programs for core networking, security and Unified Communications solutions.

Business Development Manager – Unified Communication Solutions

Bovornwut Chaiyakul joined Cisco Systems in 2007 as Business Development Manager responsible for Cisco Unified Communication Solutions. His major role is to assist Cisco customers to identify the business case for Unified Communication Solution and articulate the business value of the solutions to both technical and non-technical decision makers.

Prior to Cisco, he has more than 12 years of experience in voice and data communication and other IT solutions. Bovornwut has extensive experience in many IT solutions including PBX, Multi-channel Contact Center, Unified Messaging, Voice over IP for Enterprise and Service Provider, VDO over IP Solution, Two-Factor Strong Authentication System, Application Traffic Management, Secured Remote Access (SSL VPN), Structured Cabling System and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). He has been working with many leading banks, financial companies and telco to propose solutions from those world-renowned vendors, i.e., Lucent, AVAYA, Nuera, InnoMedia, Nortel, F5, China Putian, Interactive Intelligence, Microsoft, Interwoven, Samsung and etc.
