BANGKOK, Thailand – May 9, 2007 – Cisco today announced the appointment of Dr. Tatchapol Poshyanonoda as its new managing director for Thailand. Reporting to Mr. Vorkon Patra-Yanan, regional managing director for Indochina, Dr. Tatchapol will manage Cisco’s business operations, including sales, marketing and channels, in the country.
Dr. Tatchapol joins Cisco at an important time in its history as it transitions towards becoming a provider of the networking platform that transforms life’s experiences.

Prior to his appointment in Cisco, Dr.Tatchapol was the country manager for EMC Thailand where he established them as a market leader in their segment. He was also a senior leader in Microsoft Thailand where he initiated the high-profile Thailand.Net program. Dr. Tatchapol has also worked for Sun Microsystems and Digital Equipment Corp.
Dr. Tatchapol has a Bachelors of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and a Masters in Engineering, Industrial management from Central Missouri State University in the United States of America. He also has a Masters Engineering Management and a Ph.D in Engineering Management from Missouri-Rolla University. Dr Tatchapol is a well-known figure in the business and academic world. In his spare time, he teaches graduate classes at several universities and speaks at public events on trend-setting events and business management topics.
