Work Experience

Required: Minimum 4 years of Carrier / Enterprise / Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) industry (Tier 1 IP vendors such as Cisco, Nortel, Lucent, broadsoft, Italtel, etc)
Out of the 4 years, at least 2 years as customer facing technical sales / Sales Engineering or Product Marketing role.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3 years or more working with a company that develops and markets IP products and solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years or more working with domestic and international engineering, sales and product development
  • Minimum 2 years or more working with a domestic and international VAR/Channel fulfillment model
  • Minimum 2 years or more working with domestic and international Service Provider and Carrier fulfillment models
  • Minimum 2 years or more of professional presentation experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Broadband Networking, like ADSL, Cable, Ethernet
    * Enterprise Networking, like Ethernet Lan Switching Solutions
    * Voice Communication solutions (VOIP, such as SIP) is a must.
  • LAN Networking knowledge at the minimum level of CCDP
    * Ethernet LAN Technology and the most popular Ethernet protocols
    * LAN Switching Infrastructures
    * Network Planning for Resiliency, Load Balancing, VLANs, Multicasting, Mngt
  • IP Networking knowledge at the minimum level of CCDA
    * Basic Networking like Ethernet at the level of Frame, Headers, Protocols , Internetworking
    * IP Addressing, Subnetting, VLSM, DNS, Name Resolutions, Host Idientification
    * IP Routing such as RIPv2, OSPF, IGRP/EIGRP, BGP, design, troubleshooting etc.
    * IP QoS fundamentals such as protocols, IPToS, DiffServ Marking, DSCP, RTSP, Shaping etc.
    * IP Applications such as NAT, Reverse NAT, Port Forwarding, Port Mapping, UPnP Forwarding, Firewall
  • Broadband Networking knowledge at the minimum level of CCDA and CCDP
    * Network Architecture of ISP, DSL and/or Cable Operators
    * Understanding Broadband Protocols, such as PPPoE, PPPoA, 1483B/R, PPTP, L2TP
    * Understanding of VPN's such as IPSec, PPTP, L2TP Architectures and protocols
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the region and/or EMEA
  • English language fluency a requirement along with local languages.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with various Sales Teams in the Nordics and EMEA region targeting Service Providers, VAR’s, Retailers, Distributor and Small/Medium Enterprises
  • Provides day to day Sales Support, being the Technical Knowledge Base
  • Present Linksys Solutions, Roadmaps during customers visits
  • Work with Product Management & Engineering to develop Product Portfolio
  • Work with Customer Advocacy teams & Product Management to Drive Product Quality
  • Support Sales with their RFI/RFP/RFQ Responses (Be The Technical Expert)
  • Provide 2/3rd Level Technical Support
  • Provide LAB Demo’s, installation and certification support at customer premises
  • Supporting major events (e.g. CeBIT, Gitex, bigger Cisco Expo’s), technical planning, set up and attend the event as needed
  • Participates in the development of the technical partner strategy and plan. Maintains ongoing communication between partner, channel and account team members.
  • Supports tactical opportunities and assist channel and account team with applying existing Linksys solutions to address a specific partner need.
  • Communicates the technical trends of the internetworking industry to peers and partners.
  • Identifies and builds relationships with key players in the channel partner organization in both Linksys and Cisco
  • Develop relationships within the key accounts on a technical or product management level.

 

Education

Required: BA/BS degree in Engineering, other related field or equivalent experience Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree; networking certification .
