Dubai, UAE, 23 May, 2016: Under the theme 'Powered by Partnerships’, Cisco is holding its UAE Partner Summit at The Ritz – Carlton, Dubai, on 24 May, 2016. The event will feature exclusive keynotes, interactive presentations, breakout sessions, panel discussions and an awards evening to honor Cisco’s top performing partners in the country. Over 200 partners’ delegates including CXOs and senior technical professionals are expected to attend the power-packed event.

The event takes place at a time when digitization is opening up a world of unprecedented opportunities and rapidly transforming industries, communities and our daily lives. Digital disruption is set to displace 4 in 10 traditional players in each industry within the next five years.

“The pace of change in our industry is accelerating and while this means a wider array of market segments and areas where we are able to deliver tangible impact and business outcomes, it also highlights the need for closer alignment and collaboration with our channel partner community,” said Frida Kleimert, Head of Channel and Commercial Sales, Cisco UAE. “As the market transforms and every country, city, and business become digital, we need to bring greater value to our customers. The opportunities for Cisco and our partners are huge and are growing more rapidly than ever. Cisco is committed to capturing market trends while empowering our partners to develop their own digital niche so we can meet the changing needs of customers today and tomorrow.”

Frida will open the summit with a welcome note followed by keynote presentations by Milo Schacher, Vice President, EMEAR Partner Organization at Cisco, on ‘the Power of Cisco Partnerships’ and Denny Trevett, Vice President, Ecosystem Sales Acceleration at Cisco, on ‘Driving Digitization with our Partner Ecosystem’.

“Through our UAE Partner Summit, we want to encourage, inspire and enable our partners to gear up for tomorrow. We will also recognize the outstanding efforts of our top-performing partners at the gala awards dinner following the event,” she added.

The UAE Partner Summit 2016 will be an action-packed day that will provide Cisco’s partners an opportunity to understand Cisco's strategy for accelerating profitable growth together and hear first-hand about the business outcomes that new solutions can bring to customers across sectors. The event serves as a platform to ensure better alignment and a greater value exchange within the Cisco Partner Ecosystem. Partners will be able to engage with Cisco’s global and local executives, network with industry peers and receive updates on Cisco’s partner strategy.

Other speakers from Cisco include Mike Weston, Vice President, Middle East; Gordon Thomson, Managing Director, Enterprise Networking, EMEAR; Clinton O' Leary, Cloud Lead, Middle East; and Ivan Duggan, Enterprise Networks Technology Sales Leader, EMEAR, among others.

The Cisco UAE Partner Summit 2016 is supported by Intel as Technology sponsor, Aptec, Logicom and Comstor as Diamond sponsors, Nimble Storage as Platinum sponsor, and Global Knowledge as the Gold sponsor.
