Gender Campaign News

March 2007 – The Cisco Networking Academy program is pleased to announce the start of the Latin America and the Caribbean Gender Campaign 2007. The goal is to achieve 30% overall female participation in all of Latin America and the Caribbean, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! This goal can only be achieved through the participation of all Academies, instructors, and students (male and female)!

Each Academy that achieves 30% female participating students between January and December 2007, will be designated as a Gender Leadership Academy and will receive a special certificate from Cisco in recognition of those efforts. Academies that demonstrate particular improvement in the area of gender equity and submit information about their gender programs may be eligible for additional benefits, such as lab equipment.
