Carlos joined Cisco Systems SA in November of 1996 as a System Engineer (SE) in the enterprise segment with a particular focus on the banking sector.
In August of 2003, he decided to join the Emerging Africa team as the sole AM for SADC.
In August of 2005, he got promoted to Regional Sales Manager, for Emerging Southern Africa. His responsibilities were to create a sales team, focused on all the verticals (Public Sector, Service Provider, Mid Market, Enterprise)
His responsibilities are to develop and execute on a sales strategy that will grow the business at a minimum of 35% year on year.
In 2006 Carlos has grown the Emerging Southern Africa Sales team from two account managers to a team of six.
