Cisco udvider sit Unified Communications-sortiment med øget mobiladgang, pc-baseret videokommunikation samt integration til Microsoft Office Communicator, Apple iPhone og til Ciscos egen samarbejdssoftware Cisco WebEx Connect. I forvejen kan Cisco Unified Communications integreres med IBM Lotus Sametime.

Den aktuelle lancering indgår i Ciscos collaboration-løsninger, der også omfatter Cisco TelePresence samt web 2.0-applikationer baseret på en åben arkitektur.
