Device Manageability
Does your customer's network meet the expectations and requirements implied by business critical services? If so: can it be proven? Have you ever configured yourself out of a remote device? How can you make sure to keep the connection?
It has been said that Device Manageability Instrumentation (DMI) within Cisco IOS includes some of Cisco's best kept secrets. How can you leverage the amazing wealth of functionality for measuring and managing network based services?
This seminar will walk through the stages in the life cycle of a network based service:
- service planning
- deployment and activation
- testing and verification
- ongoing service assurance
- troubleshooting and optimization
and illustrate how the network's Device Manageability Instrumentation (DMI) can be used to achieve, verify and report on critical business objectives.
Key technologies being applied include IOS Embedded Menu Manager (EMM), Embedded Resource Manager (ERM), Zero Touch Deployment, Generic On-Line Diagnostics (GOLD), Embedded Event Manager (EEM), IP SLA, Smart Call Home and other relevant features. Technology fundamentals as well as the choice, design and use of appropriate practices will be illustrated through a combination of presentations and best practice examples.
The speaker on this Cisco Tech Update is Bruno Klauser, Cisco.
