Job description
Common Responsibilities
- Have direct account and responsibilities for selected accounts. (Build and maintain trusted advisor relations)
- Provides ad hoc systems/product training.
- Performs analysis and diagnosis of complex networking problems.
- Performs analysis of complex network designs.
- Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve complex problems and compatibility issues.
- Questions ways of working and suggests improvements.
- Provides remote or onsite deployment support.
- Develop an area of specialization and.

The Network Consulting Engineer may perform any of the following components of the role breakdown depending on specific engagements:
Transactional Projects - Project Engineering role
- Generates standard project documentation including detailed test plan for complex networks.
- Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for complex networks.
- Executes all phases of project delivery including network staging, implementation and handover.
- Plans and executes complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity.
- Where appropriate, supervises and mentors partner delivery teams and less experience engineers.
- Reviews Implementation Plans.
Transactional Projects - Project Consulting role
- Facilitates design workshop.
- Documents or reviews network requirements and High Level Design.
- Documents or reviews Low Level Design.
- Reviews Implementation Plans.
Proactive Service & Support
- Produces architectural network designs for large-scale networks.
- Assists customer with deployment of complex network tools and related Network Management Systems.
- Reviews network requirements and High Level Design.
- Reviews Low Level Design and facilitate design workshop.
- Reviews Implementation/ Change Management Plans.
- Plans and executes complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity
Education
Further more we are looking for
- A background of 7+ years experience in networking.
- In-depth knowledge (CCIE level) in at least one of the following area's of specialization: IP Internetworking, LAN Switching, MPLS VPNs, WAN Expertise, IP Telephony, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, Unified Communications, SP Voice, QOS
- Internetworking troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to leverage technical expertise of others.
- Knowledge of network management, network availability & capacity planning
- Leading edge technology design skills.

Preferred skills & education
CCIE certification is preferred or you should have a technical level so you could move towards the certification in near time. ( 6-18months )
Speaking local languages is important Swedish, Danish or Norwegian depending on your local country is preferred.
The Team: Advanced Services
The Advanced Services team works for a selected number of strategic Cisco customers with large and complex business critical networks.
We either provide advisory services for plan, design, implement, operate & optimise related activities for those customers on a long term contract basis or perform those activities ourselves on a project basis.
