Marcio Abreu is responsible for all Cisco's services sales, channel partner sales, sales strategy and enablement, as well as customer support in enterprise, service provider, commercial, and public sector segments in Brazil.
He has 31 years of experience in several competitive markets (Telecommunications, Information Technology and Consulting). Competencies are related to change processes, startups and operating setup programs leveraged by cutting-edge IT technologies, fully reflected in his experience with turnarounds, project deliveries, entrepreneurship and people development and management. He has a solid experience in the management and integration of global and complex businesses and organizations. He is also a builder of multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. His career was developed in organizations like Exxon, Elebra, Andersen Consulting, Microsoft, Unilever and CPM.
At CPM, a Cisco Partner, he was Business Vice President and a member of the board that conducted the company turn around. At Unilever he was a member of a board that implemented Global IT and was also responsible for Latin America operations. At Microsoft he implemented MCS, Microsoft Consulting Services in Southern Latin America. At Andersen Consulting, as an Associate Partner, he built the Telecommunications Consulting Services for Brazil. He has had international operations responsibilities for the last 25 years.
Marcio Abreu holds a Magna Cum Laudae bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA in Brazil. He also holds a post-graduation degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ.
Marcio is married and has three children, and is a Volleyball player.
