WebEx certificates are not synced between MP nodes, Open CSCtx72022

Symptom:
Secondary TSP or leaf node cannot connect to the webex TSP due to the following error:

[AnonymousIoService-6] 2012-01-27 16:20:09,158 [ClientIoHandler-exceptionCaught 213] <ERROR> Exception while communicating with SECONDARY TSP
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: SSL handshake failed.
Conditions:
Multinode deployment. This will only occur after a node has been added to topology and has not been seen to reoccur after initially added to the topology.
Workaround:

Sync the certificates manually:

On the node that is connecting to the TSP:

cd /opt/cisco/meetingplace/web/versions/8.5.2.8/etc/conf

copy all of these files via WinSCP or other off the of the server, note the proper owners and permissions with ls -la

drwxrwxr-x 2 mpxtomcat mpx 4096 Jan 23 10:32 .
drwxrwxr-x 3 mpxtomcat mpx 4096 Nov 1 13:20 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 mpxtomcat mpx 676 Jan 23 10:32 cert.cer
-rw-r--r-- 1 mpxtomcat mpx 353 Jan 27 11:26 idpinfo.properties
-rwxrwxr-x 1 mpxtomcat mpx 230 Jan 23 10:32 keyinfo.properties
-rw-r--r-- 1 mpxtomcat mpx 1233 Jan 23 10:32 keystore.jks
-r--r----- 1 root mpx 804 Nov 14 17:01 tsppcert.cer
-r--r----- 1 root mpx 169 Nov 14 17:01 tspp-keyinfo.properties
-r--r----- 1 root mpx 1321 Nov 14 17:01 tsppkeystore.jks
-rw------- 1 root root 11 Nov 1 13:21 .tspp.passphrase
-r--r----- 1 root mpx 614 Nov 14 17:01 tspptruststore.jks

On the node that is not connecting:

mpx_sys stop to stop services

Backup the above files from that directory.

Move the files into place using WinSCP or other utility, chmod and chown as necessary.

mpx_sys restart to load the new certs and connect to the TSP

Document How SRUs are consumed for normal operation, Fixed CSCtx43037

Symptom:

In the Planning Capacity documentation for MeetingPlace 8.0, it states "The system immediately consumes some of these SRUs from the total for normal operation. ":

http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_8.0_--_Planning_the_Capacity_of_your_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_System#Resource_Management_and_System_Capacity_for_Systems_Using_the_Express_Media_Server

This is also stated in the SRND:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/8x/confernc.html#wp1059340

However this is too vague and it needs to be documented how many SRUs are used and what these are used for.

This affects total capacity of the system if SRUs are being used while there are no calls on the system.
Conditions:

MP 8.0 with Express Media Server
Workaround:

Updated this section in the Planning Guide with additional information to explain how the SRUs are allocated.

java.io.IOException: error=24, Too many open files causes MBD failure., Fixed CSCtw95236

Symptom:
During normal usage, we see the following in the alarm table:
230) MIN 228502 9 Dec 12 05:14 Dec 16 06:40 0 SW MODULE=0
MBA cannot connect to active MBD. Meeting failures may occur temporarily.

This is caused by a users attempting to start a conference while the MBD is encountering java.IO errors. This forces the process to shut down and stop conferences on that node until it is able to reconnect.
Conditions:
-System is a single MBD Webex scheduling deployment hosting ternal meetings and recordings on a webex node
Workaround:
-Issue can be mitigated with mpx_sys restart for a few hours, but will reoccur.

As can be seen, particular MPAgent thread has thrown an exception while rescheduling particular meeting.
According to analysis so far, it looks like MPWeb starts having a problem with handling a reschedule event with large number of participants.
Per logs, before rescheduling took place, couples of more invitees were added to the conference that already had 288 invitees!

SIP Proxy Srv doesn't failover if first server in the list isn't availab, Open CSCtx62408

Symptom:
In MP8.5.2.103, if you have multiple SIP proxies specified for outdials, the system will use only the first one in the list. If the first server in the list is not available (cannot be contacted), MeetingPlace will not attempt to use the rest of the servers in the list.

Per documentation, the only time this 'failover' will work is if MP receives a 'reject' message from the first CUCM (SIP Proxy Server) in the list.

There is this note in the documentation:
"Note, however, that if a proxy does not respond at all (as opposed to rejecting the invite), the call attempt will probably time out before the next proxy is tried. "

In 99% of cases when we need MP server to failover to a different SIP proxy server is when it cannot be reached, or CM services are stopped, or something like that. It looks like this functionality doesn't work as it should.
Conditions:
MP8.5.2.103
Mutliple SIP Proxy servers confgured for outdial
The first server in the list is unreachable or doesn't have CM services started
Workaround:
- Manually change the order of the SIP Proxy server

MP Outlook plug-in detects user's calendar as a delegate's calendar, Fixed CSCtt14588

Symptom:

If the users have email alias' that are different from their SAMAccountName or normal Windows login, and if SSO is configured, users will fail to login with SSO, since the Windows login usernames will be the MeetingPlace profile usernames.

Another symptom a user would experience would when the user attempts to schedule a MeetingPlace meeting through the Outlook plug-in on their own calendar, they receive the error:
"The person you schedule on behalf of does not have a profile"

Issue is reproducible and unavoidable for certain Outlook users if the workaround is not suitable.
Conditions:

For some users when a user opens a new calendar event in their own calendar in Outlook, MeetingPlace plug-in detects this calendar does not belong to the user and detects it is a delegate's calendar.

In the Outlook logs, when the user logs in or attempts to login, it shows the "REMOTE_USER" field is correct, but also shows "SCHED_AS" with the email alias field from Active Directory. When a user normally logs in on their own calendar, the "SCHED_AS" variable should show "null":

This is a user with the issue occurring:
[--outlook--][http-443-Processor94] 2011-09-08 10:25:13,678 [INFO ,AuthorizationFilter 144] SCHED_AS : useremailaddress, SSO_DOMAIN : example.com, REMOTE_USER : username

[--outlook--][http-443-Processor113] 2011-09-08 10:35:42,648 [INFO ,AuthorizationFilter 144] SCHED_AS : null, SSO_DOMAIN : example.com, REMOTE_USER : username
Workaround:

Workaround is to change the email alias field in Active Directory to be the same as the Windows login username. In Active Directory 2003, this can be find in a user's properties in the Exchange General tab

Conditions:
Customers are using 7.0.3.17 and they only use the TUI. There is no Web server and no webex
integration. They only do reservationless meetings and they have meeting managers who
create the meetings.
Some users who create the meetings get an intermittent issue but not all users.
A user is trying to initiate a reservationless conference via TUI.
Entering Conference-ID (Profile Number), press "2", entering PIN.
Workaround:

Symptom:
Add that migration script is only good for MP 8.5 Audio only deployments when migrating from MP Express in the documentation. When attempting to run the script it states this when attempting to run the script.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/meetingplace/8_5/english/admin
istration/migrating_mpe.html

The migration matrix has this info, but the link above needs to have something in the area where the script syntax, that when migrating from MPE to MP 8.5 it has to be an Audio Only Deployment. If it is a WebEx Scheduling deployment they will need to migrate using the MPtoWebEx CSV Converter

Notfications do not take into account that Arizona although in MST, is not different than other MST states. Notifications show MST and should refelct Arizona to differentiate itself form other MST states and thier time.

The Notification works properly form the web.
Conditions:
To make sure we are all on the same page, when you scheduled a meeting, it showed the correct time, but stated Mountain Standard Time, even though the user is in the Arizona group and the America/Phoenix time zone. That is good.
Now to clear up the time zone issue. Arizona doesn't follow day light savings time, therefore, for half the year Arizona follows MST-7 and is off from the system time EST-5, by two hours. During day light savings time Arizona if off from the system time by three hours. So yes, Arizona is in the Mountain Standard Time, we all know that, but they do not follow DST, therefore need to be in their own group. And that group is called Arizona.

The MeetingPlace 7.0 system is aware of this, that is why the time is correct on the templates. The problem is, that there is an Arizona group for a reason and that reason is to segregate Arizona into its own time zone in order not to confuse others who truly live in the MST time zone and follow day light savings time.

Finally, and most importantly, we have seven MeetingPlace systems, five being version 6.0, all of which show the correct time and time zone, Arizona. So having our newest systems showing MST when the users reside in Arizona is very confusing.
Workaround:

Use MP Web to Schedule Meetings.

MeetingPlace Automatic Gain Control introducing high gain, Terminated CSCtx48822

Symptom:

MeetingPlace Automatic Gain Control introduces added gain on calls with already high gain above the configured AGC target level.

When audio incoming to MeetingPlace is above the AGC target level, and MeetingPlace adds further gain, this can cause the audio levels to spike and sound distorted.

The expected result with Automatic Gain Control enabled would be for these calls with high audio levels would be quieter and not louder. When Automatic Gain Control is disabled, there is no added gain.
Conditions:

Automatic Gain Control is enabled and AGC target level (dBm) set to default level of -18. Configured under System Configuration, Call Configuration, and Media Parameters.

This is for MeetingPlace 8.5 with Express Media Server.
Workaround:

Disable Automatic Gain Control

8.5 migration: MP sends UDMT: 1 at login causing profile changes., Open CSCtx08385

Symptom:
Each time a user logs into the service the following happens.

MP sends over all user details in SAML Assertion including last modify time > if last
modify time has changed > it kicks off internal WebEx server URL API to update the user
account on WebEx page. This is how details stay matched in SSO solution.

It looks like MP sends UDMT: 1 every time a login occurs. This API command will cause all
session types (WebEx Site Administration > Manage Users > Edit User List > Session Type
settings ) to be enabled for that particular user. Even though our internal service is
sending the edit user API, the API is built from details provided in SAML Assertion.

Symptom:

In MeetingPlace 8.5 there is a Site parameter called "Allow overflow meetings from other sites". This is specified here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/meetingplace/8_5/english/administration/admin_center_pg_ref.html

The conditions for when a meeting overflows onto another Site is also documented in the same link:
The following conditions can cause an overflow:
All nodes in a site are used to capacity.
All nodes in a site are inactive.
A combination of the above two conditions occurs.

However this does not specify if an overflow will occur onto a Site within a different Region or not.
