700 Series: Static IP Routing to an Ascend Router

This sample configuration describes the commands necessary for connecting a Cisco 700 Series router to an Ascend router.

 

"Atlanta" Router Configuration

"Ascend" Router Configuration:

Connection Profile Station Name Atlanta
Connection Profile LAN address 10.1.1.1/8
Connection Profile Recv Password gocisco1

Note: In this example, the Ascend unit does not allow bidirectional authentication when being called.

Note: The IP addresses in this example configuration are for Private Internets as defined in RFC 1597.
