VPN/Security Management Solution (VMS)

For details on upgrading to CiscoWorks VMS 2.3, please review the information below. The recommendation is to use the integrated installer from the VMS 2.3 bundle media kit. Use one of the following options for obtaining the VMS 2.3 kit:

1. Request the kit from the Cisco Product Upgrade Tool at: www.cisco.com/upgrade

2. Download VMS 2.3 (Requires existing 2.X License)

3. For customers without a SAS or SASU service contract order one of the part numbers:

a. CWVMS-2.3-RMR-K9 (CiscoWorks VMS 2.3 Windows minor update for customers with an existing restricted license);
b. CWVMS-2.3-URMR-K9 (CiscoWorks VMS 2.3 Windows or Solaris minor update for customers with an existing CiscoWorks VMS unrestricted license).

Using the integrated installer is recommended for the majority of customers and will allow simplified installation of individual tools or the entire VMS bundle. However newer versions of components and documentation can be released on the Cisco web site after the release of the VMS 2.3 media kit. It is advisable for customers to check this web site for component-level updates before starting installation.

Component-Level Updates
The following locations include updates to current and previous VMS versions. These updates have dependencies and apply to specific versions of VMS and will require an existing VMS media kit before installing.

evaluation use for 90 days

use beyond 90 days, if you have an existing VMS restricted license key (requires installation of key)

use beyond 90 days, if you have an existing VMS Basic license key (requires installation of key – can be copied from the VMS 2.2 Basic media kit)

Download the VMS on Solaris media kit for the following purposes:

evaluation use for 90 days

use beyond 90 days, if you have an existing VMS Unrestricted license key (requires installation of key)
