Release Notes
Major, Minor and Maintenance Releases
Interim Release:
Interim Releases are typically not posted to CCO, and do not undergo the
same level of testing as a Maintenance Release. Interim Releases are meant
to address a specific customer defect or security issue. If there is a
Maintenance Release that is more recent than the posted Interim Release,
then the customer should download the Maintenance Release, which will
include the fixes in the Intermim Release unless otherwise stated in the
Release Notes. Interim Releases have an "S" at the end to denote that they
are Interim Releases.
SafeHarbor Releases:
Cisco Safe Harbor is an initiative, the goal of which is customer success through improved quality. Safe Harbor delivers CSS customers with a certified version of choice for critical deployment. Safe Harbor certified code has shortened customer deployment times while increasing their overall network stability.
Safe Harbor subjects targeted releases (deployed in topologies consistent with those of identified customers) to complex levels of testing. The program offers additional benefit by serving as the conduit through which customer information can influence Cisco premier testing.
