Set the Voice Ports

You can set the voice ports (up to 4) on any DOCSIS 1.0+ modem. To set the voice ports for a Cisco uBR924 cable modem, enter the following information in the Vendor Information (Cable) fields:

• Vendor ID---00.00.0C (Cisco vendor-specific ID)

• Number of Phone Lines---2 (phone lines allowed for the modem)

• IP Precedence---5 (voice-transport precedence value); 128000 (downstream rate limit)

• IP Precedence---3 (voice-signaling precedence value); 64000 (downstream rate limit)

Note: At this time, Cisco Systems, Inc. is the only vendor that uses these Vendor Information fields.
