Install the Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client




Introduction

The Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client is a software application stored on your computer's hard drive that provides tools to help you install, troubleshoot, configure, or manage your Cisco network devices.

Requirements

To perform the steps described in this document, you need to have a PC and an Internet connection to download the Client from Cisco.com.

Note: For detailed PC specifications, refer to the readme for the Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client.

Install the Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client

Follow these steps to install the Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client:

  1. Go to the software download page for the Client.

  2. Click the Client executable file (.exe) to download the Client installer. Follow the online instructions to verify your download and to accept the Cisco license agreement.

  3. When the download process completes, locate the Client installer on your PC and double-click the file to start the installation program.

    Note: You must have 75 MB of available disk space for installation.

  4. Follow the installer instructions and prompts to install the Client on your PC.

The installer provides shortcuts to launch the application from the desktop of the PC and from Start > Programs > Cisco SMB SA Client > Cisco SMB SA Client.

Uninstall the Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client

Follow these steps to uninstall the Cisco SMB Support Assistant Client:

  1. Close all running instances of the Client.

  2. Click Start > Programs > Cisco SMBSA Client > Uninstall Cisco SMB SA Client and follow the instructions.

    Note: If this menu option does not appear on your PC, click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, select Cisco SMB SA Client, and click Change/Remove.
