Exceptions (CallManager 4.0 Features Supported
Only with an External Gateway or Router):
Due to hardware limitations of the System Processing Engine (SPE) 310
and Multiservice Route Processor (MRP) 300 series, you must use an external
voice gateway such as the Cisco 1760-V product, or the appropriate external
multiservice Cisco 1700, 2600, or 3700 series router or voice gateway
product to support the following features that require gateway software
compatibility. These Exceptions are related to the new call processing
features introduced in CallManager 4.0.
- Malicious Call Identification (MCID) supplementary service
- Enhancements for Q.SIG feature set
- Multi-Level Precedence and Preemption (MLPP)
- In-band DTMF Relay (per RFC 2833) over MTP
- Voice security support
