This power session will cover the technology essentials and detailed design and deployment of 802.11 wireless technologies. This includes wireless LAN and bridging technologies based on 802.11b, 802.11a, and 802.11g. Real-world examples will be used to explain solutions drawn from Cisco's years of experience in helping customers manage & deploy wireless technologies. This session serves as a complete wireless technologies course that covers the basics and in depth discussions of how to design and deploy large-scale wireless networks. This power session is complemented by additional breakout sessions including Installation and Management of 802.11 Networks, Securing an 802.11 Network, and Introduction to Wireless Data Networks.
Other topics that will be covered:
- Topics to be discussed include radio frequency fundamentals, network design requirements, security considerations, and in building and building-to-building topologies.
- The course also includes detailed discussion on conducting site surveys, network management tools, and troubleshooting.
