This course will delve into the internals of the protocol including basic protocol messages and more recently introduced BGP capabilities and features.
Other topics that will be covered:
- Scalable and stable BGP deployment, issues with emphasis on developing configuration templates for application in real world networks.
- The practical use of BGP to scale an enterprise network with Internal Border Gateway Protocol (IBGP).
- Using External Border Gateway Protocol (EBGP) to connect to an Internet service Provider (ISP) and multihoming to a single or multiple ISPs.
- Customer aggregation and public peering will also be discussed as well as troubleshooting techniques.
