Abstract: CCIE certification tests candidates in the areas of IP, Desktop protocols, DLSw, LAN/WAN
technologies, and voice. The certification emphasizes protocol implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
This tutorial discusses critical deployment and troubleshooting issues such as OSPF neighbor relationships,
BGP attributes, ISDN as a Frame Relay backup, voice QoS, analysis of TCP/IP sessions, subinterfaces
(point-to-point/multipoint) in Frame Relay, redistribution between IP protocols, Spanning Tree in LAN switching,
and more.
We will cover most of the topics using router and switch configuration examples. The session benefits candidates
preparing for the CCIE Routing and Switching exam, although engineers other than CCIE candidates are also
encouraged to attend.
