Build the custom technology path
that's right for you
New for this year, Cisco has designed a Networkers
Curriculum with more than 45 multilevel training
sessions tailored to your specific industry, job function,
and skill level. The curriculum has been constructed to
follow the logical stages in applying a successful network
strategy.
Stage 1: Network Foundation sessions Address
fundamental design issues through a series of focused
Foundation sessions.
Stage 2: Technology sessions Look at the relevant
technologies to deploy to optimize or facilitate a given
infrastructure.
Stage 3: Product sessions Define the appropriate
products that you will use to build a network that is
tailored to the business needs of your organization. The
sessions are designed to allow you to follow a complete
Design, Deploy, Build program. Although this is the
suggested path, each session can be taken individually as
appropriate for your needs.
Network Foundation Sessions
Appropriate for all skill levels, these sessions explain how
to build a networking infrastructure that reflects your
organization's specific business or service. You'll take an
in-depth look at networking requirements and learn the
strategic importance of applying good network design
principles. Each session features discussions on relevant
networking technologies and serves as the foundation for
progressing to the Technology and Product sessions.
Technology Sessions
Technology sessions include a complete discussion on a wide
range of network technologies. You'll learn about the use
and function of specific networking technologies, including
successful deployment, analysis, and troubleshooting
techniques-plus much more. The Technology sessions focus on
either infrastructure technologies (e.g., Frame Relay, ATM),
service technologies (e.g., routing protocols, network
management), or solution technologies (e.g., quality of
service, voice integration). These sessions then break down
into three levels:
Level 1 - Introduction to a
technology to help you understand its purpose and where
it would be used in a network infrastructure.
Level 2 - Deployment and configuration recommendations
with an emphasis on ensuring the most efficient
optimization of your network resources.
Level 3 - Advanced concepts, emerging developments,
fine-tuning and analyzing network performance, plus
detailed troubleshooting.
Product Sessions
Learn about specific Cisco solutions, including the newest
products and latest enhancements and where they fit into
your organization's network. You'll discover how to choose
the best network platform for your needs by learning to
evaluate appropriate technologies and how they fit into
various network architectures. Individual Product sessions
will focus on product infrastructures
, product services
, or product solutions.
