One of Listwin's primary responsibilities is Cisco's Internet voice strategy, which includes developing technology and services for the New World infrastructure.
In 1997, Listwin was named Senior Vice President of Market Development when he assumed leadership for developing strategy and software technology for target markets as well as corporate positioning. Prior to becoming Senior Vice President, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Access Business Unit (ABU). Under his leadership, the ABU, which provides branch and dial access solutions, doubled in size and captured approximately 55% of the overall access market.
Listwin also led the successful Cisco/StrataCom integration in May, 1996, which represented the largest acquisition in the history of networking industry at that time. After joining Cisco's marketing team in 1990, he led the company's efforts in developing IBM internetworking strategies which resulted in Cisco's 75% market share for IBM/SNA integration. In 1993, he was named Vice President of Marketing and successfully established the Cisco IOS franchise.
Listwin holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Mr. Alexander has over 15 years' experience in the voice and data communications industry. He joined Cisco as its Director of Enterprise Marketing, with its acquisition, in 1996, of StrataCom, Inc., where he had been Executive Director of Marketing. Previously, he spent four years as Director of Sales and Operations, Asia/Pacific for Republic Telcom Systems. Mr. Alexander held a variety of engineering and management positions at Entropic Speech, Inc. and at ROLM Corporation prior to his work in Asia.
Mr. Alexander holds a MBA degree from UC Berkeley and a B. Eng. (Honours) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford in England.
