| As data surpasses voice as the predominant traffic on communication networks, the market is realizing the tremendous benefits of a consolidated data network. In this course, we’ll examine the enabling technologies and enhanced services/applications that are driving the conversion to a new world voice network architecture. Next, we'll review the traditional voice network infrastructure including voice codecs, signaling, and services. The course will then explore VoIP and other transport mechanisms (VoFR and VoATM) with an emphasis on dial-plan concepts, VoIP signaling (ITU H.323), multiservice challenges, and corresponding Cisco solutions. Finally, we'll examine the IP Private Branch Exchange (PBX) architecture. |
