| This session will provide an overview of network architectures for Internet service providers (ISPs), and traditional PTTs/Telcos with national, international and regional presence. This session will also provide an overview of the issues facing primary core architecture design, implementation and operation. These issues include, architecture hierarchy, public and private interconnection, scaling and growth, traffic engineering and capacity planning, addressing, routing, quality-of-service and policy implementation. These issues will be the basis for the deployment of services and features such as Voice over IP, VPNs, differentiated services, switched interconnect and general Internet connectivity, within a large IXC. |
