System Definition

The Cisco Unified Communications system is designed for a single, secure, converged network. Part of an integrated, comprehensive Cisco architecture, the communications applications reside "in" the network, not "on" the network, and can easily incorporate emerging business processes, applications, and new devices. Applications can be deployed in a single instance, rather than in multiple instances, and managed services offerings further increase deployment flexibility.
