Associate Systems Engineer

The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) and Associate Systems Engineer (ASE) are part of a career path to becoming fully qualified Cisco Account Managers and Systems Engineers.


These are the lead client facing roles within the Cisco Sales teams who work together to qualify the needs of our clients, develop solutions and manage the relationships with the client organisation.


The ASRs and ASEs work as a close team in communicating new products and services, evaluating customer needs and developing solutions to enable growth and productivity.

Our Opportunity


Associate Systems Engineers are the technical guru's working with our customers to ensure their technical needs are fully understood and met by our solutions.


The primary responsibilities as an ASR are to:


  • Develop and maintain deep technical understanding of solution sets, architecture and full product line
  • Maintain a good understanding of competitor solutions, products & services
  • Support ASR with client meetings and presentations
  • Consult with customers to identify solutions that are technically achievable and technically viable for Sales proposals
  • Work closely with customer technical team on solutions development and proposals
  • Set up and prepare equipment for customer demonstrations and evaluations
  • Actively participate and consult with Virtual Teams to further technical projects and initiatives
