IP NGN Expertise Center

The Cisco Services philosophy extends beyond the traditional support model, which focuses on after-market support. Instead, Cisco takes a holistic approach to support your business and networking needs from start to finish. Whether your business goal is to achieve faster speed to market for new applications, maximize network availability, or enhance customer satisfaction and retention, we are committed to helping ensure your success.

To find the right solution for your business need, we employ a systematic approach to define requirements and then develop, validate, and implement the solution. Program deliverables are organized according to the six phases of the service lifecycle: prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize (PPDIOO). The project management guidelines contained in the PPDIOO methodology are based on Project Management Institute (PMI) methodologies for large projects and are designed to help ensure a consistent, repeatable process.

Critical to any deployment, project management is especially important for IP NGN solutions. That's because achieving the desired business results for an IP NGN requires careful integration of previously separate network infrastructures, separate design and planning criteria, and separate operational processes. By organizing our services by lifecycle stage instead of by individual solution, we can address your network needs from end to end, in a way that is aligned with Cisco core and advanced technology solutions.

By applying the PPDIOO methodology, service providers help ensure their network, operational staff, and customers are prepared for an IP NGN solution and can benefit fully from the application, features, and functions that an IP NGN can offer.
