Problem Description
Campus Manager 4.0.1 installs files with bin:bin ownership
Background
After installing the Campus Manager 4.0.1 update on Solaris, many Campus Manager files and directories will be owned by the user and group of ``bin''. This can cause access problems for certain tools as well as open these files and directories up to potential security attacks.
Problem Symptoms
Files and directories under /opt/CSCOpx/campus are owned by the user and group of ``bin''.
Workaround/Solution
Run the following commands as root:
find /opt/CSCOpx/campus -user bin | xargs chown casuser find /opt/CSCOpx/campus -group bin | xargs chgrp casusers
Apply the new Campus Manager 4.0.1 update posted on July 4, 2005.
