Problem Description
Restorebackup fails when migrating data from a Common Services (CS) 2.2 server to a CS 3.0 server.
ERROR: Restore cannot proceed. Seems you are hitting the bug
CSCec01327.
Background
On CiscoWorks RWAN1.3, restorebackup.pl fails on the following conditions. The problem occurs when migrating backup data between two servers which CiscoWorks is installed.

Create ACL scenario in ACL Manager on the server A.

Create Download job in ACL Management on the server A.

Perform a backup on the server A.

Stop daemon manager on the server B.

Restore the backup from the server A into the server B.
It fails with the following error:

Problem Symptoms
The issue will occur only in Common Services2.2 and in Common Services3.0 , windows version only.
This bug is not applicable for Solaris.
Common Services 2.2. restorebackup.pl fails with the following error:
ERROR(801): tar
C:\Temp\restore\0\rme\filebackup.tar exited abnormnally !!
Common Services 3.0
ERROR: Restore cannot proceed. Seems you are hitting
the bug CSCec01327.
Condition:
Common Services 2.2.

Perform a backup on the CS2.2 server, where one of the files/folder has a long path. This is reported only in ACL scenario for ACL Manager and in Software Managment for RME as of now.

Restore the above backup on another CS2.2 server.
Common Services 3.0

Perform a backup on the CS2.2 server, where one of the files/folder has a long path. This is reported only in ACL scenario for ACL Manager and in Software Managment for RME as of now.

Restore the above backup on another CS3.0 server.
Workaround/Solution
Common Services 2.2

Install the patch from CiscoWorks Server CD-One Patches in the CS2.2 server, from where you want to migrate the data (source machine).

Take the new backup (after installing the patch) in the source machine.

Install the patch in the destination server (where you want the data to be migrated).

Execute restorebackup.pl.
Common Services 3.0

Install the patch in the CS2.2 Server, from where you want to migrate the data (source machine).

Take a new backup (after installing the patch) in the source machine.

Execute restorebackup.pl in the 3.0 (destination) server.
