Problem Description
When the Cisco IAD2430-24FXS, Cisco IAD2431-8FXS, Cisco IAD2431-16FXS, Cisco IAD2431-1T1E1, and Cisco IAD2432-24FXS products are wall-mounted such that the cables connecting to the product are pointing toward the ceiling or floor, the resulting top panel ventilation openings exceed the dimensional limits of the applicable safety standards.
The following mounting configurations are fully compliant:
Rack mounted, Table top and wall mounted with the cables connecting to the product exiting left or right.
Background
When these products are incorrectly wall mounted, as illustrated below, the oversized top openings may allow the entry of foreign objects into the platform.

Problem Symptoms
There is no specific problem symptoms related to this issue. Adhere to the recommended installation procedures outlined in Cisco documentation per the request of this Field Notice.
Workaround/Solution
Mount the product by rotating it 90 degrees such that the cables exit either the left or the right side, consistent with Figure 3-10 of Chapter 3 of the hardware installation guide:
