Problem Description
The CVPN3002 models listed in the Products Affected section running software versions 4.0.1 to 4.0.1D that do not have a physical connection to the public interface upon power up or reboot will experience continual reboots.
Background
The issue was found in the field with the CVPN3002 models listed in the Products Affected section and that are running software images between 4.0.1 and 4.0.1D.
Problem Symptoms
Under the conditions listed in the Problem Description, the CVPN3002 can get flooded by interrupts and continually reboot.
Workaround/Solution
This is a known issue with CVPN3002 SW versions 4.0.1 thru 4.0.1D. If you have this issue and one of these software versions, upgrade to 4.0.1E or later. You can also resolve this issue by establishing an Ethernet connection to the Public interface during reboots. The recommended software Version is 4.0.4.
Note:? Although the problem symptoms exhibited resemble a hardware problem, it can be resolved by upgrading the software or by adding a connection to the Public Ethernet interface.
