Problem DescriptionCisco ONS 15327 nodes may incorrectly indicate an gNE Power Failure at Connector A or B? alarm.
NOTE: This false alarm indication is not service affecting as there is no actual loss of power.

BackgroundEach Management Interface Connector (MIC) has an input voltage monitoring circuit that drives an associated alarm signal to the Cross Connect, Timing and Control (XTC). The alarm signal is cleared when input voltage is within the acceptable operating limits and raised when the input voltage is outside the acceptable operating limits.
On affected MICs, component tolerance variances may cause the input voltage monitoring circuit to incorrectly raise the power loss alarm. In order to correct this condition, a component change is being made to the power loss alarm driver circuitry located on each MIC. This minor change will filter false power loss alarming without affecting the reporting of legitimate MIC input voltage alarm conditions.
Problem SymptomsONS 15327 nodes may indicate an gNE Power Failure at Connector A or B? alarm in the Cisco Transport Controller (CTC) or Cisco Transport Manager (CTM) . Additionally, the PWR A and/or PWR B LED indicators located on the XTC may indicate an alarm condition by glowing Red or Yellow. For the majority of cases the false power fail alarms will be raised and cleared intermittently. However, in some cases it is possible for the false power loss alarms to persist.
Workaround/SolutionCustomers seeing this false alarm should request a replacement RMA of the above referenced products.
