Cisco Unity for CallManager Release 3.1
Cisco Unity for PBX/Dual Switch Integrations Release 3.1
When performing a fresh install of Cisco Unity Release 3.1 in an Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 domain, setup part two (Configuration Setup) fails. This issue does not affect sites upgrading from Cisco Unity Release 3.0 to Cisco Unity Release 3.1(2) unless the site removes Configuration Setup to connect to another mail store.
Cisco Engineering found an initial failure when setup tries to bind to the RootDSE in GetEx55Info.
This Field Notice will describe the failure, as well as provide instructions for applying a hot fix to resolve this issue. Once you have met the requirements and applied the hot fix, Cisco Unity Release 3.1 should install successfully.
A hot fix is not available for Cisco Unity Release 3.1(1); you must download Cisco Unity Release 3.1(2) and apply the hot fix.
After running setup, Cisco Unity reboots and begins Configuration Setup to connect Cisco Unity to the desired mail store. At the Collect Mail Store Information dialog box you receive the following error:
This issue is resolved in Cisco Unity Release 3.1(2b). Please upgrade to Cisco Unity Release 3.1(2b) if you are encountering these issues.
