Background
Due to a bug in Java Plug-In 1.3.0, when certain signed certificates used to communicate between the client browser and various CiscoWorks server components (contained in CD One, 4th Edition) expire on January 6, 2002, some CiscoWorks functions will fail when run from a browser.
Problem Symptoms
Examples of CiscoWorks functions that will fail after the certificates expire are Telnet, Save, Save As, and Print.
Workaround/Solution
It is mandatory that all customers running CD One, 4th edition download and install the patch containing the Java Plug-In 1.3.1 before January 6, 2002.
The patch is now available for download at http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cw2000-cd-one (registered customers only) .
For RWAN 1.1 and LMS 1.1/2.0 customers only that are using nGenius Real-Time Monitor (RTM) 1.2, please order the RTM 1.3 Update Kit. The update kit (CWRTM-1.3-UPT) includes RTM 1.3 and the CD One, 4th Edition Java patches. RTM 1.2 is not compatible with these patch updates and will not be supported by Cisco TAC. Please refer to the latest RWAN and LMS product bulletins below for more details on ordering the RTM 1.3 Update Kit:

With Java 1.3.1 Plug-In installed on the client system, Cisco Cluster Management Suite (CMS) might not launch from CiscoView or Campus Manager for certain devices. CVSM/Cluster Manager/Cluster Builder applets must be launched on a separate client computer that has Java Plug-In 1.2.2 installed. A client computer cannot have both Java Plug-In 1.2.2 and 1.3.x installed at the same time. You can download Java Plug-In 1.2.2 at the following URL: www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/java |
