Problem Description
If Cisco EMF, or another application running on the same machine, fills up the disk used by Cisco EMF to store its databases, Cisco EMF may report that a connection was lost and then all the applications may close. Upon re-opening the applications, there is no information available; that is, there are no objects in the viewer, no object groups in the object group manager, and so on. The command ps -ef | grep ODI will reveal that ostore has stopped, therefore completely stopping all network management operations. The only message that will be created is in the sysmgr.log, which is: "reporting INFO : out of disk space."
To return to a stable environment, check the /opt directory for extra disk space. Perform a cemf stop ; cemf reset to clear databases and restore a backup. Then, restart ObjectStore and CEMF, which returns CEMF to a known state.
Problem Symptoms

Upon re-opening the applications, there is no information available; that is, there are no objects in the viewer, no object groups in the object group manager, and so on. The only message that will be created is in the sysmgr.log, which is: "reporting INFO : out of disk space."
Workaround/Solution
To aviod the problem, a periodic check should be performed to ensure there is enough space on the disk on which the Cisco EMF databases are stored. This disk (and directory) are provided by the installer when Cisco EMF is installed, and a disk large enough should be present. If the disk is filled, Cisco EMF must be stopped and ObjectStore restarted (if necessary). Then, any previously backed up databases should be restored and Cisco EMF should be restarted.
