Cisco 7140 Series with QED 2.1 |
Problem Description
Cisco 7120/40 VPN routers running under the minimum recommended Cisco IOS® software versions listed in this announcement (refer to the Workaround/Solution section) with a QED 2.1 CPU may reload when certain online insertion and removal (OIR) activity is performed. Routers with QED version 1.4 are not affected.
Background
Shipments of Cisco 7120/40 VPN routers prior to September 2000, shipped with version 1.4 of the QED CPU, were affected. Development Engineering testing has shown that the 1.4 version of the QED CPU is unaffected by this problem.
