Products Affected
TrafficDirector 5.1 and 5.2
Problem Description
TrafficDirector's Trend Reporter in version 5.1 and 5.2 for Solaris stops working when crossing the year change into 2000.
We erroneously reported that both TrafficDirector 5.1 and 5.2 for Solaris was Y2K compliant. We recently discovered that both of these versions are not Y2K compliant. A bug has been filed and the problem is currently being worked on.
Background
Customers who have TrafficDirector 5.1 and 5.2 for Solaris and wish to test Trend Reporter's ability to produce reports after the year 2000 will find it does not work.
The database and the daemons are still collecting data but the rollover daemons are not transferring the data from the snap files to the database for the reporting engine
Problem Symptoms
You will see an error message that reads "no data in database."
Workaround/Solution
No workaround is available. A patch is being developed and will be posted to the external CCO web no later than Friday September 11, 1998.
