Room Design

Selection Criteria

When choosing a room for Immersive Cisco TelePresence conferences, consider the following room selection criteria:

  • Whether to use a dedicated or multipurpose meeting space
  • Physical elements of the room environment
  • Room dimensions and construction materials
  • Location
  • Lighting
  • Acoustics

Note: You will probably need to consult with the facilities personnel of the building in which the prospective room is located to assess all room selection criteria.

Design Guidance

Obtain the dimensions of the rooms under consideration and refer to the specific room recommendations in the installation guide for each Cisco TelePresence endpoint you are considering installing. The installation guides contain the recommended room dimensions, lighting, and power and HVAC requirements for that endpoint.

Cisco TelePresence Room Design Guide lines that apply to all Immersive Cisco TelePresence endpoints are discussed in detail in the Cisco TelePresence Room Design Guide. The approved wall color palette for Immersive Cisco TelePresence is provided in the Cisco TelePresence Wall Color Guide.

Please work closely with your Cisco TelePresence or Video Advanced Technology Certified Partner on location-specific room requirements and recommendations.

Room Design Models

There are technical requirements for lighting, acoustics, and HVAC in each Cisco TelePresence room. However, there is also flexibility in design, and your organization can customize its Cisco TelePresence rooms. Table 1 outlines different room design models and their flexible aesthetic elements.
