Introduction
The Cisco VPN Client documentation titled Understanding the Cisco VPN Client states that the Cisco VPN Client can coexist with Third-Party client software. This includes compatibility with Microsoft, Nortel, Checkpoint, Intel, and other VPN Clients. This compatibility includes the ability to use other VPN products while the VPN Client is installed. It does not allow each VPN Client to make connections simultaneously.
Prerequisites
Requirements
The Cisco VPN Client is available for download from Software Download for VPN Clients (registered customers only) in two formats. One format utilizes the Microsoft Installer (MSI) and the other format utilizes InstallShield (IS). It is a requirement of this procedure that you use the MSI installer. Therefore, when you download the Cisco VPN Client, ensure you download the correct file. For example, vpnclient-win-msi-4.7.00.0533-k9.exe (VPN Client Software for 2000/XP - Microsoft Installer).
